"I'm Explaining a Few Things," will be performed on Oct. 30 at the Pasadena Music Conservatory. It sets a poem by Pablo Neruda, explaining to the reader why his poetic voice changed due to what he witnessed during the Spanish Civil War. Commissioned by Prima Voce Emerging Artists, it's programmed as part of a concert celebrating their tenth anniversary. Performed by Tivoli Treloar, mezzo-soprano, and Lucy Yates, piano.
